VINTAGE CARPETS
Vintage carpets are carpets recovered approximately 20 or 30 years old. They are carpets that go through a process in which the damaged parts are repaired, the hair is shaved and subjected to a natural coloring process. This treatment creates a worn, vintage effect, since the wool or cotton on the base is exposed. Depending on the level of treatment and coloring given to each carpet, the original tribal and geometric designs disappear or are minimally perceptible. We can find a very wide range in terms of the washing level of the original drawing.
